ANDERSON COUNTY, SC — The community is mourning the tragic loss of 21-year-old Neveah Camden Bigby of Williamston, who died Friday night following a single-vehicle crash in the Belton area.
According to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, emergency crews were dispatched around 8:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle that had struck a tree at the intersection of Midway Road and Stringer Road. When first responders arrived, they found Bigby unresponsive at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Bigby was traveling east on Midway Road when she lost control of her vehicle. Authorities say she overcorrected, causing the car to leave the roadway before crashing into a tree. Officials later confirmed that she died from multiple traumatic injuries, and the manner of death has been ruled accidental.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol, along with the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, continues to investigate the crash to determine if any additional factors may have contributed. Early findings do not suggest that alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
