It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Doyle Medlin, 45, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the evening of Thursday, March 26, 2026.
The accident occurred around 9:50 p.m. along the 1200 block of Tubbs Mountain Road, prompting immediate response from emergency crews. According to preliminary reports, Medlin, who was wearing a helmet, lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 10:24 p.m.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Medlin’s cause of death was blunt force trauma, and his passing has been ruled an accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident and are conducting a further review to determine the full circumstances of the crash.
Brian Doyle Medlin was a cherished member of the Travelers Rest community, known for his friendly spirit, generosity, and love for life. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and all who knew him in deep sorrow. Medlin will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and the many moments of joy he shared with others.
