The Tiffin community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Alexzandria Hickle, 22, who tragically passed away on March 26, 2026, following a devastating single-vehicle crash in Seneca County. Alexzandria’s untimely death has left her family, friends, and the entire community in deep sorrow, as they come to terms with the loss of a bright, loving individual whose life was cut short far too soon.
The tragic accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on State Route 18 near County Road 48, just west of Tiffin in Hopewell Township. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Alexzandria was a passenger in a Ford Focus traveling eastbound when the vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The car then became partially submerged in a nearby pond.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported Alexzandria by ambulance to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital. Despite their best efforts to save her, Alexzandria succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. Authorities confirmed that Alexzandria was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, which underscores the sudden and tragic nature of the incident.
In addition to Alexzandria’s passing, the crash also claimed the lives of Hermoiney Greenler, 19, of Bucyrus (the driver), as well as Madison Yates, 21, and Jonathan Bowling, 22, both from Tiffin. This devastating accident has shaken the entire community, and the loss of four young lives has left a profound impact on their families and friends.
