MUSKOGEE, OK — The Muskogee community is grieving the loss of 38-year-old Elio Hernandez, who was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the 900 block of North K Street.

According to Muskogee Police, officers were dispatched to the area around 4:00 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered Hernandez in a front yard with an apparent gunshot wound. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
